Quick - frozen chicken, should I use???

Have had some organic chicken breasts in the freezer since February, and am about to start cooking with them but have just noticed that the label says, if freezing, use within one month?

Am sure I have frozen meat for longer than this in the past and it's been fine.

Anyone know what the one month thing is about, and if it's safe to use?

Hmm, obviously shouldn't be a question mark at the end of the first sentence...

Safe to use. Taste and texture might be effected though.

Stick this in your favourites folder, I find it invaluable.

As far as I know chicken can be frozen for up to 6 months so you are within the time limit.

The one month thing is often stated just to get you to use the food up faster imo - and therefore buy some more!

They will be fine, better if you are cooking them in a sauce though as taste and texture will be affected a little.

Thank you! Was going to have to completely re-think tonight's dinner if I couldn't use it!

Thanks for the link Sherlock.
