Turkey help!

I've been a vegetarian since I was 13, DH also veggie, so neither of us have ever cooked a turkey before.

Yesterday, my sister's Christmas Day plans fell through so I said she could come here instead. As DSis, her DP & DCs are all carnivores, I dashed to buy meat this morning but haven't got a fricking clue what to do with the turkey and I terrified I poison someone.

Help me please, oh wise ones Smile

easiest way is to double wrap it in foil leaving an air gap at the top, but no gaps in foil - so it steams. before wrapping dawb with marg or butter and if you are keen stick an onion inside. check there's no plastic bag with inards in either in neck of main cavity. 40 mins before end take foil off top and baste. leave for 30 mins to rest - either on food warmer or stick foil back over.
