I made apple and cinnamon vodka again this year, same method as usual. Apples cored and cut up, plently of cinnamon, all covered in vodka in a sealed jar, kept in the dark for several weeks, and turned over a few times to keep it well mixed. I've strained it through a sieve twice, then a cloth to get all the bits out. Instead of a lovely golden vodka, I've got what looks a bit like caramel coloured runny egg whites.
Does anyone know what's gone wrong? And most importantly, can I still drink it?
