Delia's mincemeat - how long does it keep (in years)

Have just found some mincemeat in the back of the cupboard, unlabelled. I know I didn't make any last year so at least 2 if not 3 years old. No mould. Is it safe to use or should I bin it ?

I think delia says it's ok for a year, not sure about longer - sorry not to be of more help! Does it look and smell ok?

Yeah it does, but not going to risk it

I used last years and it tasted bitter, it was a bit of a waste.

I'm probably too late but I've often used mincemeat I've had for years and it's been fine. I would taste it and see. The mincemeat I'm going to use this afternoon was made last Christmas and it looks fine.

... oh yes, and I always use Delia's recipe.
