I'm not the best cook but like tp try!

I made some cookies from a recipe on here and was amazed that they were edible! They were 'dollop' on the tray ones though

I've bought some Christmas cutters and was wondering if anyone had a recipe for biscuits that can be rolled out and cut?

I don't like ginger or Christmas spice favours though (awkward emotion)

Basic butter biscuit
250g butter - room temp
140g icing sugar
1tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg yolk
375g plain flour - plus extra for dusting

Preheat oven 190c
Beat butter and sugar till pale and fluffy, add egg yolk , mix well. Sift flour and add mixing to a stiff dough - you might need to use your hands to mix. You can freeze at this stage if you wish.

Line a baking sheet with parchment or grease? Roll out dough till about 3mm thick, cut I to shapes, bake 10-12 mins until pale golden and transfer to a cooling rack.
