Pastry in the KitchenAid?

I usually do pastry in the MagiMix, but mine is being repaired. Can you make it in a KitchenAid stand mixer? With the beater?

I can make it by hand, but it's tricky to do that at the same time as trying to supervise a toddler...

I always do my pastry in the KitchenAid, it tends to come out quite 'short' for me, though, so (I think) add slightly less fat and possibly a bit more water...

I do it exclusively in the kitchenaid! I hate making it by hand and prefer it short so it suits me fine.
