Vanilla pods

I ordered some vanilla pods from eBay to make never-ending vanilla extract, but they don't seem to be dried (which I'm more used to). They're vacuum packed in a sealed bag with a very small amount of liquid as far as I can tell.

Can I just use these in the same way as dried ones?

I've no idea if you can do that, just wanted to say use them soon. I ordered the same ones and they turned mouldy very quickly (in the sealed bag)
