I'm making a large rectangular birthday cake on friday using a square tin (9.5") so i'm doing two then butting them up and decorating. I can only find round or square cake boards, so I bought two square 12" ones, is there anyway I can strap/attach them together to make a long rectangle? Unfortunately it is too late to shop online for a more sizeable board!

Could you mount them both next to each other on a piece of thin wood or strong card?

Glue them side by side on a piece of wood? Or cover a chopping board or wood with foil?

Thanks for your replies. Dh had some foam board at work and has glued the cake boards to that.

Glad you sorted it out. I sometimes turn a large tray over and cover it with wrapping paper or foil.
