Basic lemonade - how do you make it?

I can remember mum making lemonade in summer but I don't know how she went about it. Does anyone have a recipe?

Thanks Lima. The first ones sound a bit fancy, not really what I was thinking of. I meant just the straight forward lemon based one like Delia's but I know my mum didn't leave it overnight. Hmm.

Just thinking ahead - things to eat and drink on our self-catering holiday.

the basic lemonade recipe was pretty simple:

Lemons, sugar and water. A very simple lemonade recipe, and yet so refreshing.
INGREDIENTS:

• 6 lemons
• 6 cups cold water
• 1 cup sugar

PREPARATION:
Juice your lemons, and you should get about 1 cup of juice. In a large pitcher, mix juice, water and sugar. Stir lemonade well and serve over ice.

Somehow didn't see that one, didn't fancy the blue lemonade or the one with ginger or milk in it. I'll have a go at this one then.
