Any cake makers/decorators out there? Need ideas for a 60th birthday cake.

That's just about it.
It's my Mum's 60th next week and need some ideas on what shape cake and what to put on it.

you could do a number 60 easily

if it was for me then I would like something pretty, flowers..preferably real ones crystallised to decorate a traditional large round cake

She likes wine, narrowboats (I've done a narrowboat one already for Mum and Dads anniversary). Those are the main hobbies. Also likes gardening and embroidery.

For my 40th my mum did my forty cup cakes - all a bit different and each with the number 1-40 on and then put them on a cake stand. looked really good. I did the same for f-i-l 80th (but cheated and brought lots of little cakes and just piped on chocolate numbers!)

LizP- cupcakes sound really nice. It's got me thinking now!
