Bring UK dried packet food? (takes up less space than jars)

You can bring jars over though - I used to all the time because of the salt. It really is all brands too - even brands like Hipp Organic.

Where are you staying?

this happened to us when we went to italy with ds when he was 9m - don't panic there are options. ok, mtj, by 8m he'll be doing finger food, right? so you can give him bread, crackers, bread sticks, oat cakes, rice cakes, cheese, hummus, steamed veg sticks, sliced fruit, dried fruit, yoghurt, fromage frais etc etc - i.e. there will be lots of things he can eat without having to go near a jar or you having to slave over a stove and mush things yourself.

another thing to consider, the spanish babies manage, perhaps your ds can also manage for a week?

good luck and have a great holiday
