My new toy essential kitchen kit arrives tomorrow and I am very excited!

I'm getting a Magimix 5200 XL, do any of you have one? What things do you use it for the most?

It's DD's birthday this week so I thought I'd do her cake and buttercream in it obviously but would like to try a few more exciting things out too and wondered what I should start with. Thanks :)

I rarely use mine for cakes but use a hand-held mixer instead. I mostly use the Magimix for dough, using the dough blade. It also gets used for the mixture for meatloaf, meatballs and chopping down steak for burgers. If I'm making big freezable quantities of sauces I'll chop down onions and grate vegetables with it. I also make a mean Pommes Boulangere with spuds and onions thinly sliced using the circular blade.

Ooh pommes Boulangere is going to the top of my list for this week, thank you!
