My dd starts nursery next week and you have to supply lunch. I usually do something like cheese on toast but obviously they will not be able to do things like that for her.

I was thinking of giving her sandwiches but cannot think of any fillings that are not to high in salt/sugar. or any alternative to sandwiches

Any ideas please ?

cheese spread sandwiches, Oat cakes, banana, rice cakes, cheese strips, crackers, this is a hard one isn't it!

houmous and cucumber/lettuce sandwiches? My DS loves those. If she has cheese on toast then you could make a grated cheese filling with some chopped salad (tomatoes, cucmber etc). Soft boiled egg sandwiches are good too.

pasta with tomato or bolognese sauce can be eaten cold - ds loves it.

Jacket potato (this can be pre part-cooked by you and they could warm it up) with cheese

Cous cous with ratatouille (veg in tomato sauce) - again this is quite nice cold but they could re-heat it for you.
