Can you do jacket spuds in the slow cooker?

I was reading a book (nothing to do with cookingw but there was a mention of prepping the potatoes to go in the sloe cooker for baked potatoes.

I love a proper baked potato, but it seems such a waste to have the oven on for an hour to cook a couple of spuds....

Yeah I did that for the first time this week, but my slow cooker has a high setting too.
Getting frugal in these hard times i'd rather heat a pot than pay to heat a whole oven.
I wrapped in foil and took about 3 hours to do 3 large ones. Next time will turn half way through though cos the skin on the bottom was a bit hard.

I usually microwave baked potatoes to cook them, then just crisp them off in the oven for a few minutes, best of both worlds : )
