Just that really. It seems so expensive for the catering buttons. Does anyone know which are best and where to order please?

Might be worth finding a local chocolatier and seeing if they will sell you some. I used to know one - sadly he's closed - and sold white/milk/dark lentilles of chocolate. Also, he told me that as it's classed as a confectionery ingredient - 0% vat, which was a bonus.

I know that Costco do tubs of Belgian dark polka dots of chocolate which you could melt.

Used to find that, of all things, Supercook cooking chocolate had really high cocoa solids.

If you have a local Lidl or Aldi, they have 70% dark chocolate at around £1 per 200g bar - I don't know if that is suitable for what you want?

asda and tesco do 100gm bars for 30p white, milk and dark
In my opinion the dark is better tasting than the bournville dark. I have to keep it for making brownies or I would eat a bar a day Blush

The Lidl one 70% Ecuador is amazing and I know my chocolate. Its brilliant at £1.05 a bar.

Also Sainsburys value do bars for 30p for 100g and they are around 50% cocoa and not bad for cooking but not pleasant to eat though.

If you want top notch chocolate with a snap then you need to use couverture such as Barry Callebauts and temper it.

Thank you all very much, I look forward to taste testing all of these. Have bought a Santa sleigh mould from Lakeland and cannot wait to use it. X
