I am making a lightsaber cake tomorrow for my sons birthday party.. Hes very excited but Ive only just thought on about cakeboard!! It is quite long (5ft) where can i get a cakeboard this size in time? Or does anyone have any alternative suggestions I could place the cake on. Cannot believe I did not consider this...

Does it have to be on a cakeboard? (or plank or whatever?)

Could you put a line of chopping boards down on the kitchen table (you cna get packs of really cheap thin bendy chopping boards in the 99p store) covered in foil and just ice it in the table and leave it there to be cut?

Timber yard / proper DIY store that might have plywood offcuts? Look in B&Q or Homebase for sheets of any rigid material and cover it.

A Bookshelf is a great idea. Good luck, it sounds awesome!
