Icing sugar to stop the icing sticking when you roll it out ?

Does it mean sugar to roll the cookies in? I sprinkle a bit on the cookie before baking and it goes all crunchy.

it means just ordinary sugar that you are going to roll the biscuits for decoration. As in the recipe needs 1.5 cups of sugar and then you need an extra .5 cup of sugar for decoration

You can buy coloured sugar which is good for sugar cookies - red or green usually.

Lovely, thanks. I'll bake them first then and see if I think they need anything else.
