I think we put in tin foil and wrap up and cook in oven

Please tell me what heat and how long

What else do we put in the tin foil with it???

It is a fan electric oven

The fish weighs 1.5 kg

And is a fillet so no skin or bones {hopefully}

We usually microwave small fillets

But what do we do with a whole one

Thanks

Hmm - a recipe here , which gives you the method. Possibly some more useful info from Delia here . Good luck.

Ok Kanga, first of all, do you want to disply the fillet when it is cooked because if not the absolutely easiest thing to do is to cut it into maybe three pieces.

Take three large pieces of tin foil, butter them, lay a piece of salmon in each one, add a sprig of fennel, a twist of black pepper, a pinch of salt and a splash of whilte wine. fold over the tin foil and twist the edges together to make an air-tight parcel cook the parcels for about 10-12 minutes.

My gran used to put hers (very tightly wrapped in foil) in the dishwasher . Not sure I'd recommend it!

Here's a gorgeous salmon fillet recipe, for next time you have a whole fillet hanging around:

Lie the salmon in a roasting pan skin side down. Drizzle over 1/4 cup soy sauce soy sauce, then spread over 3 tablespoons oyster sauce. Grind over fresh black pepper. Leave to marinate for about an hour. Bake at 200ºC for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is almost cooked through.

Yum.
