I'll try surfing for one, I usually make a pie with some chicken breast, veg etc.. wondering if it'll make any difference that it's minced lamb?
My mum used to make mash and mince [yuk] on winter nights when we came home from school..chuck in some veg and pastry lid?

no need for pastry if you just make shepherd's pie
and no need to make mash if you use the pastry to make lamb & veg pie

save one for later in the week!

you could make a shepherd's pie, sort of.
Boil your spuds and mash them, adding salt, pepper, a bit of cream. Meanwhile prepare your meat: add one egg, salt, pepper, finely chopped onion and garlic, rosemary. When your mash is ready, lay half of it in an oven dish, then lay the meat on top of it, then the rest of your mash. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and small chunks of butter. Put in the oven for 40mn at 180 degrees.
You can make it with beef mince too but then it's not called a shepherd's pie anymore !
