I'm sick of cooking the same thing.
My DH is awkward and my DD is picky.

DH doesn't really like veg..peas and carrots. He loves all meat.

DD likes Chicken and any other meat aslong as you call it chicken.
She likes peas, carrots, broccoli (sp, ive been up since 4:30 with a teething baby!) pasta. She likes pasta bakes..HATES mince. won't touch it, so spag bol, shepards pie is a no go Sad
she won't try anything else. doesn't like soup. loves yorkshire puddings, sweet tatties and pearl barley..anyway..

I need help. ANY meal ideas that your kids loved/love or tips to get her to try things would be be fantastic.

She likes herby/garlicy food so all idea are welcome :)

have you tried her on rice? you could do a risotto with chicken, peas and leek..

or a verymild curry, make curry like a chicken and spinach korma, and leave hot seasoning til end for dh and you.

baked leg of chicken with veg? served with/rice/couscous/mashed potato?

pearl barley risotto?

stew made with beef/chicken/lamb whatever and veg and pearl barley?

One thing I found with picky kids is if you let them help prepare it they are much more likely to try it.

a bit of a faff, but a slicing peppers, putting in the ingredients to a pan, stirring, all gives them a sense of ownership.

Risottos popular here too.

How about paella? You could get the chicken and peas in and some extra meat and other veggies.

Chorizo (or other spicy/garlicky sausages) with lentils and/or tomatoes or in omelettes.

egg fried rice with peas and carrots

a small part of me died when I started making DD hidden veg sauce but she will polish off a huge helping

Yep another vote for risotto. Also how about home made goujons? She could have those with sweet potato wedges and veg or cucumber/carrot sticks if she will eat those?

Picnic teas are always popular and things that can be chosen themselves ie fajitas but with it all on the table.

We also do home made pitta pizza with ham and anything else I can persuade them to have on it!

Sorry if I've said things they don't like, I did read it but have forgotten and I'm on the app Wink
