I guess I will have to enjoy them alone.

Do you all just stick to the turkey twizzlers or what ?

yes i love em.
several tins in my cupboard

Beetle73 · 05/07/2006 22:05

Are they like artichoke hearts?

moondog · 05/07/2006 22:06

A bit....
(Hate boprad beans though)

hub2dee · 05/07/2006 22:12

They are kind of like artichoke hearts drizzled with a bit of lemon, but there's soooo much more of them, like fat white sausages. They taste a bit like low-cal heaven fodder.

Different from c?urs salsifis though... those are much soggier / squishier... altogether less noble.

Will give them a try, since I love artichoke hearts and rather like broad beans.

You will find them v. nice indeed. Possibly better sliced into salads but I also gobble them whole. Yum.

Ooh not sure if I've had these, love artichoke hearts though One of the reasons why we love going to Spain because of all the fresh fruit and veg.

c?urs salsifis? Is that the long white squishy things?

What about olives - anyone love them or is that just a bit too banal?

hub2dee · 07/07/2006 13:12

Yep. Long white and squishy sounds about right.

Grab a tin of palm hearts next time you can E and post on our thread about your heavenly experience.

Do like a nice olive myself, but not an expert on the various types / marinades etc.
