Squash soup recipe?

I bought some fancy squashes in tesco today and want to make a soup of some description (preferably one that the children will eat too), does anyone have any good recipes? Suggestions of flavours to put with them?

I love the idea of squash soup during the storm that is threatening to keep us housebound for a few days!

Yummy! If easy to peel, then peel, chop in half, remove seeds and stringy stuff, then chop into cubes.
If skin is very tough, quarter, remove seeds etc then microwave for a few mins until flesh can be scraped off skin.

Fry an onion until soft. Chuck in any other bits you fancy out of bottom of fridge eg a bit of red pepper, a carrot etc. add squash and some stock. Add either curry powder or a mixture of cumin and ground coriander seed. Cook until everything soft, whizz with blender and add more hot water if required to right consistency.

The squash works brilliantly with the curry flavours.
