pumpkin soup

planning on making soup out of the innards of our carved pumpkin.
will roast it first.
what do I do about the seeds? sift out before or after, or blend them with the rest?

I've only made it once but didn't bother roasting it. I think I just used onions, chicken stock and the pumpkin innards. It was lovely, but tasted SO much nicer than it smelledGrin
