Tomato sauce gone wrong - help please

I've been gently reducing passata for ages, but it tastes really acidic and sharp. What do I do? Cook it for longer? Add water? I can't add milk cos needs to be non-dairy. Help!

Cook longer. Add pinch of sugar or a grated carrot for sweetness.

Add sugar - not too much, so add 1/2 tsp and try it, then repeat until it is ok.

Definitely pinch of sugar. And maybe a pinch of cinammon if still not right. Failing all that a squirt of ketchup.
