Any similarities with my name are purely coincidental. Smile

I got hold of some fresh walnuts yesterday. I have no idea if I need to dry them til they resemble a pixie's gonad before I can use them in a salad?
Will they toast id fresh?

oh yes they would CuttedupPear.

Or you could make little tarts with the pear & cheese and topped with the walnuts, if you want something more wintry than salad

i suppose if you cooked them down and froze them in portions as suggested above you could use it in those savoury tarts too. Might make a change from using them in sweets. But i haven't tried it so can't really vouch

Those little tarts - I guess shortcrust pastry for the shells and what needs to go in the filling apart from pears and (goat's?) cheese?

Onion marmalade? I dunno tbh - never actually made it - am inventing right now as we speak! So you might want to steer clear of my advice....
