Hi

I am going to batch cook some meals to freeze - bean chilli and cottage pie. How do I cook them from the freezer ? Do I have to defrost them first?

Thanks Grin

Sometimes I defrost and reheat in the microwave if it's a large amount but for individual portions that can be stirred, I sometimes just reheat thoroughly in the microwave.

For a cottage pie, you can just stick it in the oven from frozen for about 45-50 minutes if it was frozen uncooked (just assembled).

I put things like lasagne, cottage pie, pasta Bol, fajitas, casserole etc in foil containers then freeze. In the morning I put containers in the oven on a tray. They defrost whilst I'm at work then switch the oven on when I get in.

Or phone DS and have him turn oven on when I'm 30 mins away so dinner is nearly ready when I get in Wink
