What beans are good to sprout?

Have just been doing mung beans because I'm sure that's what we used when I was little, but they're a bit small and I was wondering if anyone had tried any other sort?

Any lentil weavers out there? You girls sprout beans, don't you?

I sprout. I like alfalfa, mung and adzuki beans, fenugreek and celery seeds, but my favourite sprouts are chickpeas - and they're quite a lot bigger than mung beans.

There's a few suggestions of some others to try here .

I do!

Only fenugreek so far but dead easy.

It's by Johnsons (the seeds, that is).

So, jam jar, sprinkle seeds, rinse, stick in cupboard.

Twice a day, so don't forget.

4 - 5 days should do it.

I started cos I got some in my veg delivery box but they seemed all old and dry so I thought I'd have a go.

ooh, some replies! Thank you!
And I'd just gone and reposted on the gardening section!

Would never occur to me to do fenugreek, so will def try that.
And I've never had alfalfa so another one to try....
Thanks for link WWB.
