Need a fail safe pasta recipe for kids

I need to cook for a group of children this weekend, and I know I have a couple of fussy eaters. I want to do a pasta dish to go alongside the main meal so if all else fails they can eat that.

I know tomato sauces are out and to be honest I'm a bit stumped... I will obviously have cheese but need something to go with the pasta.

Thanks

Why are tomato sauces out?

I have yet to come across a child that doesn't like simple, mild, no-bits tomato sauce on pasta.

But if not, pesto is usually a hit with kids.

One of the children doesn't eat anything tomatoey (which is why the pizza is out to start with!)

Macaroni with cheese, ham and peas?

My dc love pasta with either tomato sauce or red pesto and a dollop of Boursin (or similar) cream cheese mixed in. If the sauce is going to be an issue, a pasta salad type dish dressed with olive oil?

Pesto then

Or even less suspicious for really fussy kids is what mamij says - using Philly for the cheese to give it a bit of creaminess.

Cheese sauce, sweetcorn, ham and mushrooms? Or carbonara?
