I want to sneer at this.

But I'm finding I can't.

If it gets people to eat real food again...

The only thing that raised my hackles was this:

?Several of my friends,? continues Liz, ?have brought their daughters-in-law here just to make sure that their sons get a good meal each evening.?

I know what you mean Hunker.. but it could just work. Why isn't it aimed at bloody men though ?
I am so messy in the kitchen.. it is so temtping in some ways. The lentil weavers will ask about the quality and food miles etc

If "proper" food is made as easy to cook as the shit, that's fine by me.

As long as the stuff they're marketing as proper food is really decent stuff - quality meat, organic veg, etc.

(I'm a bit lentilly, RP )

I am a closet one too but if the food was good quality, locally grown, traceable etc etc, well then things could be cooking!
Imagine going home with lots of baby purees in ice trays done in 1 evening ..with everything set out for you and not having to wipe sweet potatoe puree off everything in your kitchen

It'll catch on, I think.

I don't like the "aimed at homemaker" whiff it has though - very American.

Here in Colorado, they even assemble it for you!!!!! It's all fresh and the really popular one is all organic. Friend of mine uses it alot, but hey she's from New York and all they did there was eat take-out every night . As a SAHM here, can't justify the expense and anyway it's too blooming hot for a gourmet meal every night.
