I clicked on the mn banner up there ^ but can't work out how many meals you get in the family box for £67. Confused

You get 3 meals for 4-5 people. Seems expensive to me and I reckon that DH, DS and I would eat it all.

Thanks. The FAQ is rubbish. It hasn't answered any of my questions.

I'm assuming you choose 3 meals from the menu and they send you the ingredients for them. But it doesn't say that anywhere on the website!

Probably is quite expensive, but fairly comparable with the cost of a takeaway if you haven't planned well and have nothing in for tea. Grin

It's £44 with a mumsnet code, so will give it a go.

Ooh what mumsnet code? Is this ocado?

ArgyMargy · 13/10/2013 18:13

Yes def £44 more reasonable - but you still have to cook it yourself! GrinGrin

chicaguapa · 14/10/2013 07:16

If you enter mumsnet at the Gousto site, you get 35% off the first box. You can order through Ocado but it seems you can't choose the recipes and/or use the code that way.

Quidco has 35% off + £12 cashback for the next 4 days.

The cooking bit is easier than choosing what to eat. MIL is coming in a couple of weeks so will order a family box for then. Might earn brownie points for an expanded repertoire. Grin

We've tried the couple ones and made them stretch to the three of us - they do fairly big portions. You don't get a choice of menus, it's whatever there is that week. Very good clear recipes and it's meant we've tried some new stuff, but does very much depend on what they're offering.

EmpressOfThe7WillowsandTaras · 14/10/2013 07:25

Sorry cross post - I meant through Ocado.

chicaguapa · 14/10/2013 07:26

Oh! That puts me off. I thought it let you choose three recipes from the menu, but the website isn't very good and I can't rally work it out. Some are ones we'd definitely not eat as I don't like any form of curry and DH doesn't eat fish. So wouldn't be taking a chance at that price.

As I was then.

Sorry chicaguapa.

So the gousto site lots you choose? Must look.

chicaguapa · 14/10/2013 20:30

Theoretically but I haven't done it yet. I'll report back...

Yes you can choose the recipes. Next week I will be cooking my MIL:

• Juicy Herb-Crusted Lamb Steaks on Roasted Garlic Beans and Tapenade
• Stir-Fried British Rump Steak with Seasonal Vegetables
• Vietnamese Chicken and Lime Noodle Salad with Fresh Herbs

I did it through Quidco so I got a family pack for £44 + £12 cashback, so £32 overall. They gave me 50% off codes for 3 friends so PM me if you want one. Smile
