I'm looking for desert Ideas were off to watch the kids at a football tournament next weekend on return friends are coming back here for hot roast pork cobs stuffing etc

I'd like to do a desert but unsure what will go with it.
They'll be four adults 4 children

Any help appreciated

Sounds like something warm and autumnal would hit the spot - a big crumble? Doesn't have to be plain old apple, try plum and ginger, apple blackberry, or pear, cinnamon and nutmeg. To make it more unusual you could make a cobbler or a slump rather than a crumble.

Best desert? The Sahara. Best dessert? Tiramisu, no question Grin

Love a bit of a stack in this house, make with biscuits, shortbread, puff pastry, sandwich with cream, ice cream, Marscapone, add raspberries, apple purée, blackberries and drizzle some butterscotch sauce over the top. Offer ice cream & jelly as an alternative for fussy kids.

I don't do creamy desserts as it upsets my stomach. The most popular desserts in our house are apple crumble, Eve's pudding, sticky toffee pudding and a cheesecake from Jamie Oliver's 30 minute meals here. I don't like hazelnuts so just leave them out. I also use low fat Philly cheese. The result is unbelievably nice for such a simple recipe.

Loving the idea of a crumble think ill do custard and then have ice cream in for the kids - cheese cake sounds good as well so might have to do that as well Wink

Thanks for ideas Grin
