Using the usual in an unusual way?

I am trying to be a bit imaginative but the aim is actually to add some additional calories to my diet in an easy way.
Was thinking things like mixing vinaigrette in to mash or cooked veg...
Any other ideas or suggestions would be great.

Mustard mayonnaise is yummy and goes with all sorts of things - mix a couple of tblspoons mayo with 1 of wholegrain mustard.

Fry in lard or dripping instead of oil; eat your vegetable side dishes at room temperature dresed with oil (hazelnut ir walnut oils are great for this). Remember your cheese course! Smile

Olive oil on everything?

Top everything with seeds. Add nuts to dishes. Drizzle veg with olive oil and add cream to soups, stews etc. Add cheese to sandwiches. Add dried fruit to yoghurt or cereal. Make coffee with milk instead of water. Drink smoothies, fresh fruit juice or milkshakes. Top stews with pastry lids.
