Cooking mince once defrosted?

I took some mince out of the freezer this morning and put it in the fridge to defrost. How long can it now be kept in the fridge before cooking? Was supposed to be cooking this tonight but other things have come up and now may not get a chance until Friday. It was put in the freezer straight away if that helps. Thanks!

Exactly the same length of time as if it were fresh. So if it had three days on the 'use by' label on the day you froze it, it has three days before you must use it from the moment it stopped being frozen.

You could cook it tonight or tomorrow and refreeze it.

24 hours after it comes out of the freezer.

agree with sharond, perhaps best to cook and refreeze?
