Soup - good, Lamb - Good! jams, cheeses, bacon n sausages, Rice v cheap, as is pesto, in fact most of it is ok, don't rate the bread tho...

Caligula · 25/06/2006 23:38

Rye bread is good from there, and the heavy german breads. Pasta good and cheap, chocolate is OK, cereals all OK, muesli is good, veg is fine, fruit juices very cheap and loads of them, plus everything frizbe says

Caligula · 25/06/2006 23:39

And also all their special offer things.

olive oil, very good, very cheap
fruit and veg very good (the toms I bought last week tasted like home-grown)
the continental beer isn't bad
Howver not keen on their fruit juices, esp the exotic ones, they just taste of bananas and I hate bananas.

desperatehousewife · 26/06/2006 06:02

mozzerella is good, parmesan is fantastic, sun dried tomatos good. Milk and bread is fine. The small pots of natural pro biotic yoghurt and vanilla yoghurt are lush. Their mature cheddar is great. Their 'Knights' crisps in big bags are exactly like Kettle chips but a third of the price. The nuts are fab - pistachios and cashews. Dark chocolate is good. Pasta, pesto, apple juice is fantastic. Mineral water is amazingly cheap and very good. Fruit and veg is hit and miss (check sell by dates)

Bog roll, foil, batteries.

I'm a big fan!

jellyjelly · 26/06/2006 08:21

I use alot of pesto do you remember how much a jar is? It is £1.21 in tesco and want it cheaper.

Caligula · 26/06/2006 09:22

I have to disagree about the pesto, I don't think it's very good. A bit oily and just not good...

Pomi · 26/06/2006 16:53

I buy washing powder, gloves, foil, bleach, orange juice(all other juices are crap) olive oil,tin tom and nappies. Their fruit and veg are sometimes good and sometimes not.

LadyTophamHatt · 26/06/2006 16:55

Nappies are FAB.

the coleslaw is gorgeous.

I like their cleaning products, yogurts and their ready meals. Lidl pesto is not so good but Aldi do nice pesto.

breadandroses · 26/06/2006 17:34

Tinned toms

olive oil

chorizo

butter

cleaning products

nuts and biscuits

some fruit and veg- can be dodgy

BadHair · 26/06/2006 18:11

Sweets. Dirt cheap and great for party bags and the "please-fill-this-plastic-cup-with-sweets-for-the-school-fair" type things.

And FIL loves them too so good for bribery for DIY help.

Kelly1978 · 26/06/2006 18:12

stuffed chillis with cream cheese
dill salad dressing
breaded fish for the kids
ham

NannyL · 27/06/2006 10:38

chocolte brioch is SOOOOO yummy

their 70% dark chocolate is very good value as well.... and tastes exactly the same as other 'quality' chocolate.

my 22 yera old sister uses their anti-wrinkle cream she has no wrinkles!

topseyturvey · 27/06/2006 13:08

Nappies and baby wipes are very good. Their diet irn bru is nice and the sweets and chocolate are very good. The meats ok too. My ds1 loves the choc chip cookies. The tins of tomato soup are nice as told to me by my mum! Pizzas are ok too. The ice cream is very nice. I get some of the cleaning products like toilet cleaner and distenfectant and they`re fine. I dont like the bread much though. Frozen currys are nice but the fishfingers are a bit crap. My sons like the french fries from there.
