Please tell me a very very very SIMPLE CHEAP finger food idea

I am supposed to provide something for a finger buffet for wednesday

I want something EXTREMLEY CHEAP and quick to do

For about 30 - 50 people

I don't want to spend much time or money on it though

Nothing wrong with ciabatta per se at all. It's the attitude of the poster. Someone trusted her with providing food for 50 people and she delivered a sliced loaf of bread. It's so disrespectful and shows a complete lack of interest. If you're not willing to give either your time or your money, why take part at all?

Not sure what the point in resurrecting this was...but since it has been, I agree with the resurrecter. Making either zero effort or being really cheap (you can keep it very cheap but might require slightly more effort) in this sort of situation is rude. It's usually the type of person who'll then make a beeline for the nicer/more homemade stuff when they bloody get there. The person who turns up to a make-a-contribution-BBQ with a single pack of value sausages and then troughs all the steak! (Obviously OP might not be like that...or even if she was, 11 years on might not be.)

It came up from a Google search. The position of the poster really offended me so I thought I'd reply

You were offended by the quality of bread someone took to a party ELEVEN YEARS ago?
You don't think that maybe there are things going on today that you could offended and outraged about instead?

I think that's a very fair comment, Narky. I agree with the resurrecter but it's true to say I'm a bit more worried about the rise in fascism both here and elsewhere in the world.

Had the post be about how to make the cake to celebrate Brexit, Trump's presidency and similar events, I would make sure to make clear my opinion about the rise of fascism. But since the post was about finger food, I thought it made sense to remain within the limits of the subject.

Poor op was making food for a gathering that she wasn't going to and didn't know anybody.
