Starter for lasagne

I know lasagne is a bit dull for a dinner party, but I have four kids, one of them a baby, so I need to set my standards low...but what to serve as a starter?
Was thinking bread, oil, olives, nice deli meats....
I will serve salad with the lasagne.
Thanks!!!

Sounds good. A nice plate of antipasti with bread, olives and olive oil is a great Italian starter.

Yum!

Antipasti sounds great. You could add jarred artichoke hearts/griddled sweet peppers or similar.

Or you could do something simple like a rocket, pear and blue cheese salad - easy to plate up in advance, nice and light.

Tricolore salad - slices of tomato, mozzarella and avocado with a bit of fresh basil, salt and pepper.
Antipasti always a winner but as you're having pasta in the lasagne you might want to have less bread and more olives etc.
I've not made lasagne in years... Might give it a go tonight!
