I've been roped into making something for a charity bake off on Thursday. No one else will do it.

Has to be relatively easy but look great.

Cupcakes are out as I make those regularily.

Help!

What about something like this:

I made a malteaser one similar to that for a raffle recently and that is my back up plan.

I might try a baked cheese cake. I'm off Wednesday so have plenty of time to make it.

I could do that with a nice chocolate fudge cake couldn't I?

I'm not bad with sugarcraft, I bake as hobby.

It's down to two options. Choc and Orange ring cake or a tall choc fudge cake.

The fudge cake could really be decorated anyway.

Could you please post your ring cake recipe sounds good.

AGnu · 24/09/2013 23:18

What's the charity? Could you do a themed cake? I know someone who makes fab 'booby cakes' for breast cancer awareness every year. Grin

MikeLitoris · 24/09/2013 23:18

Will do tomorrow. Off to bed now.

agnu its for the Nspcc. Not sure a boob cake would work Grin

I'll be trying this one today hug. It's not the one I tried last time but I can't find the magazine I used. Think it was baked and delicious.

Thanks mike that looks really good. I want to try out my bundt cake ring, think this'll be it.

MikeLitoris · 25/09/2013 21:27

I just did a plain fudge cake in the end. Been so busy here today. Chocolate orange buttercream amd a whipped choc ganache. I made a cute little owl to sit on top.

That is amazing! I am very impressed and may also steal your owl design for my neice's birthday cake

MikeLitoris · 27/09/2013 11:55

Look on pintrest. There are loads of them on there. It was actually quite easy to do.

sweetestcup · 29/09/2013 12:33

That wee owl is amazing! Did you make the flowers to or buy them?

MikeLitoris · 29/09/2013 13:55

Why thank you sweetest. I made the flowers too.
