too much cookie dough

I made some Apricot and white choc oatmeal cookies today but although I halved the recipe it still made a lot of dough.

Just wondering whats the best way to store the uncooked dough? It has butter and egg.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can freeze cookie dough.

Roll it into a thick sausage shape, wrap it in clingfilm and freeze it.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

Although having tasted the first batch I don't think having too many will be a problem Grin

Just saw the thread title and thought, 'no such thing'.

I normally just store all the leftover cookie dough right in my stomach. Send it to me!

Roll it into a sausage shape in cling, slice it up into biscuits and freeze it on a tray. Tip the biscuits into a food bag once frozen, then you can bake 6 or 8 at a time from frozen.
