DS turns 5 in a few weeks. He wants a chocolate cake and I thought I would make a bus cake for him. I am planning on baking 2 loaf cakes, sandwiching them together with jam & then putting buttercream & red fondant etc on top.
Can anyone advise me what the best cake recipe would be? I was thinking that I would use my standard quatre quarts method (weighing the eggs) or is this a bad idea?
Any other advice would be most welcome!
