Using a cake recipe to make individual cakes

I have a really nice chocolate cake recipe but the incorrect size cake tins. I do however have lots of silicon cupcake ones.

The whole cake takes 25-30 mins to cook, should I do 10-15 for cupcakes and keep checking them after this time? Also, will I need to adjust the recipe for cupcakes instead?

Loveulots, i dont, i use the same recipe for my 2 8inch choc sandwich cakes as i do for my cupcakes with the same quantitiy i get 16-18 cupcakes and i cook mine for 17-18 mins and just a tip with i always use is, an icecream scoop, so useful as you get exactly the same size in every case.

Hi, I do this all the time with my favourite chocolte cake recipe. It makes bloody hundreds of cupcakes though! They're usually done in 12-15 mins but do stick a skewer in them to check.
