Heavy bottomed saucepan recommendations please

Can anyone recommend a good heavy bottomed saucepan that they use please? I'm googling without much luck. Hoping to make some fudge for Christmas gifts and have everything I need apart from this. Hoping to find one that won't cost too much, am I being unrealistic?

Aga pans are good, but cost the earth.

I use Sainsburys copper bottom ones. They are the equivalent of taste the difference, but it's got another name. They do lots of sizes.

I have had mine for nearly three years and love them still!

Thank you both.

DoItTooJulia I think I've found the range you're talking bout, Cook's Collection?

Yes, that sounds like it.

I really do recommend them. My non stick frying pans need replacing now, but that's because I use them a lot and use metal utensils on them. Naughty. The other ones are like new and they get used a lot!

They are often on special offer too. I used nectar points to buy the entire range while they were on offer, so got a great buy!p
Actually, I have just looked at the bottom of one of mine, they say " different by design " I wonder if they have changed the name?

Yep, I just googled them, they're called cooks collection now.
