I can't find the thread I started on this kit but wanted to show you all my castle.

The kit is a bit of a pain to stick to cake but royal icing is helping.

Just got to finish putting flowers on, name on the board and a good spray with glitter and its done.

£17?!?! I spent more than that on a homemade one!! Shock

come and see my cake...
MikeLitoris · 15/09/2013 20:05

I was planning on doing it all myself but for £17 I thought it was worth a try.

It can be used again so I'm going to try a proper castle with draw bridge and moat next.

Mine was about £25 but that's for everything including ready made icing, rice paper flowers etc. I had much fun making the wolf, frog prince etc, less fun keeping it together on the 2 hour drive Hmm

cocolepew · 15/09/2013 20:49

It's lovely!

nannycook · 15/09/2013 20:55

Wow Mike, that is soooo good, but i just knew it would be. That little girl is gonna be one very happy princess.x

LeGavrOrf · 15/09/2013 20:56

Christ is that really a cake?

out2lunch · 15/09/2013 20:59

is it all cake/edible?

looks fab

MikeLitoris · 15/09/2013 21:08

Oh god no its not all edible! The turrets and doors/windows are plastic. It just looks fancy. Really its just a 2 tier cake with stuff stuck to it! Grin

If I had to cost it all including the board and box it probably cost me £27 ish.

Hard to work out as I had all the ingredients here anyway.

Still good even with plastic bits stuck on, haha, well done you.

MikeLitoris · 15/09/2013 21:37

I now have the drama of finding somewhere to keep it tonight as it is too tall for the box Confused
