What do you take in your packed lunch?

I need some inspiration! DH has taken packed lunches to work for years now and is getting bored with the same old sandwich fillings, and I have just started needing to take lunches and am bored with his fillings because I've been making them for years!!

At the moment we have:
cheddar/chutney
hommous/roast veg
bacon/brie/cranberry
ham/cheese/tomato type combinations
egg mayo (for him. I can't stand it!)

Can I have suggestions, please, for interesting lunches?! Doesn't need to be sandwiches, but useful to bear in mind that often I only have 10 minutes to eat (if that) so it needs to be something pretty quick to scoff eat!

I take
Sweet chilli savour crackers
Pineapple, papaya and hazelnut soft cheese
A knife to spread one on to the other.
An apple, some grapes and a cereal bar.

Yes, same old stuff gets really dull doesn't it? Do you vary the bread?

Trying to think of shop bought sandwiches I've tried and liked which aren't on your list.

Salmon and cream cheese
Sausage (cold) and pickle
Bacon, lettuce, tomato
Seafood sandwich filling
Tuna, mayo sandwich filling

Quiches

Soups (home made or shop bought) and a roll

Microwave ready meal

Leftovers (or do batch cooking) if you have access to a microwave.

Do a 'menu plan' so you can rotate and not get bored

If you have an iceland they sell Greggs sausage rolls and pasties which you bake yourself. They're slightly cheaper than buying from a Greggs.

(I wish I practised what I preached! says she who buys shop bought meals every day)

Thanks! Changing breads is a good idea - I make mine so it's a bit variable but not exactly different (ranges from too doughy to too crumbly).

Forgot we used to do beef and horseradish. Have put smoked salmon and cream cheese on the shopping list for this week!

My favourite wrap (or a toasted bagel if I'm at home):

Philly, sweet chilli sauce and rocket.
(sometimes with ham and cucumber too) YUM

I like couscous or cold pasta with a bunch of stuff chopped up in it - cherry tomatoes, cucumber, celery, cold meat (good for using up leftovers from a weekend roast), cubes of cheese etc. And you can chuck different salad dressings over it too for a bit of variety. Mayo, vinaigrette, caesar dressing etc.

How about some crackers with some sort of dip / pate? This stuff is AMAZING: www.amuse-your-bouche.com/white-bean-pate-sun-dried-tomatoes-olives/
