Help me calm down a spicy soup

I've been inspired by the soup thread & just made a massive vat of soup, but I put a dried chilli in & it's come out very spicy. I want my dd to be able to enjoy it too - how can I calm it down?

Thanks

stir in some cream or creme fraiche?

Definitely creme fraiche or Greek yoghurt.

Half it putting one half aside for freezing and lob a can of tomatoes in the remainder?

I don't know if it works but I was told to put a whole potato in and cook it - it should absorb some of the chilli then remove it before serving. Will be interested to know if it works.

coconut milk works well if it's too chilli-hot Smile

Thank you all, I will go with a couple of those suggestions.
