how can felafel be healthy?

can someone answer this for me. lots of smug people have been on about giving their dc this for lunch etc, but felafel is just deep fried lentils.
how is that different from deep fried chicken?

I know but it is a bit of a pain when you are trying to feed a family the same thing!

Deep fried balls of crushed chickpeas,onions and spices Misdee. Middle Eastern thing.
Usually served in pitta pocket with spicy tomato and/or yoghurt sauce.

I don't do breakfast and lunch. I eat when the boys have their nap, so about 11ish or so, then after 6 when they go bed in the evening. I like to eat in peace. It was a cold pasta salad I made yesterday.
