What kind of soup? I have lots of fabulous recipes.

Spinach and pea?
Basic butternut?
Red lentil?

Watching this too. I'd love a recipe for a proper hearty soup ideal for an evening meal. Preferably veg. Not keen on peas though!

The very best cookery book I ever bought was the covent garden soup company's soup a day. 365 soup recipes all fab. Particularly butternut squash and chorizo.

Our family's current favourite soup

Easy, filling, spicy Smile

I just made some yummy leek and potato soup. Easiest thing in the world

I sweated two lsrge leeks, chopped, with an onion in a knob of butter. Low heat so they didn't brown. After about five minutes poured in two pints of veg stock (I just used 2 stock cubes). In went about two pounds of spuds, peeled and diced. Bit of salt and pepper.

Simmered that for about ten to fifteen mins until spuds we cooked then into the blender. I was making a big batch so you could halve the quantities.

I also made the mushroom soup on the BBC good food site. I love to read recipe books but find if I need a recipe good food website is where I actually get it.

Bling, please share red lentil and butternut... Flowers

Lizzy, I wouldn't have thought to use coconut milk in soup. Sounds yum!

I like all kinds of soup I'm open to trying anything! I've been making tomato recently and freezing but we are getting a little bored of it now. I'm hoping you guys can inspire me Grin.

I made broccoli, feta & walnut soup yesterday from the Abel & Cole cookbook, it was yummy. Kids loved it too!
