Any recommendations for good slow cooker books - bored with my usual chilli, mince, stews. Thanks

Sara Lewis slow cooker easy is lovely- a picture of every recipe (which I like, particularly with slow cookers as it can look like gloop, tasty gloop) and the recipes all work. I've not had a single fail and have cooked through most of it.

For range of ideas and recipes I also value Katie bishops slow cooker books, but the second book, more slow cooking is the better of the two. There are loads of recipes, some really unexpected good recipes, and for all occasions, but it's not foolproof- some, not many, but some, of the recipes are duds.

if you have a large family the Katie bishop is better. But the Sara Lewis is very pretty.

I second the Sara lewis one, it has some lovely recipes. Anthony Worral Thompson's slow cooking is good too, although not all the recipes are for a slow cooker so need adapting slightly.

Don't forget the interweb! There are hundreds of great slow-cooker (or crock-pot , as they say across the pond) recipes all over food blogs and Pinterest. Try crockpot365.blogspot.com for a start Smile

I second Anthony Worrall Thompson's Slow Cook. Fantastic recipes. They are quite involved, because he is a proper chef, but you can simplify them - but excellent results. The spicy sweet potato stew is amazing.
