Crockpot in normal oven?

I need to finish off a dish that I'll be making in the slow cook in the normal oven, putting a crumb top on and it has to cook another 30 mins in oven. Can I do it in the earthenware base of my slow cooker or do I need to transfer it all into an ovenproof dish?

They differ. Some will crack spectacularly in the oven (namely Morphy Richards- or mine did at least). Most crockpot brands are snow to be put under the grill though. Check your manual, or if in doubt- don't do it, transfer to oven definite dish
