Cooking in a bedsitter lemon chicken

Does anyone have a copy of "Cooking in a bedsitter" by Katharine Whitehorn - not the most recent, orange edition - the one with a blue cover with a watercolour of a window?

If you do - could you please tell me what the lemon chicken recipe is? I used to use it all the time at uni but ended up losing it when I broke up with my long-term boyfriend - it was at his place and didn't come back in the Great Returning of the Stuff.

When the new edition eventually came out (it was out of print) I excitedly bought it - mostly for the lemon chicken recipe - only to discover it wasn't there! Can anyone help?

I have a later edition with a picture of dining table & a Belling oven (reprinted 1981 from a revised 1974 version), but no lemon chicken I'm afraid. Really weird Chicken Maryland recipe with banana though . . .

There's a very good, easy one-tray Baked Chicken with Garlic and Lovely Lemony Potatoes in Fiona Beckett's 'The Ultimate Student Cookbook' if that would help?

Is this it?

Yes that's the edition. I was hoping someone could just tell me the recipe rather than having to buy the book for a third time though!

Yes I saw the chicken Maryland recipe ... . I think it was quite popular in the 60s

I did have a good search but couldn't find the recipe anywhere.
Sorry, the book was the best I could find. But it's only £3.

True... Clearly I am a tightwad! Grin
