Does anyone have a recipe? My mum makes she says but not to a recipe, she just throws everything in. I do have a slow cooker but rather scared of it as nothing turns out as I hope. Anyone tried this?
TIA

I make mine in the slow cooker and just follow the measurements on the side of the rice packet - I usually cook mine on high for about 3/4 hours. Pudding is nice and "sloppy" ( I don't like it when it goes hard) but you don't get a skin on the top, like when you bake it in the oven.

150g rice
100g sugar
1.5litres milk.
Butter the crock pot before you put it all in. Cook on medium for about 4-5 hours. You can also add nutmeg but dp doesnt like it. This is our fave pudding.

Ooh, yum!

I use Delia's Eliza Acton recipe. I pour hot water on the rice and then give it 10 mins in the microwave to partially cook it before putting it in the slow cooker.

Forgot to say, this recipe makes thick rice pud you can stand a spoon up in, just the way DH likes it!
